Strength Through Supported Movement

Reformer Pilates brings the principles of Pilates onto a specialised machine. Our Reformers feature a moving carriage, adjustable springs, straps, a footbar and a Tower.

The machine provides both resistance and support, allowing you to explore a wide variety of controlled movements and work the entire body with precision.

By adjusting the springs and exercises, the Reformer can support your movement when needed and add resistance to create greater challenge as you progress.

Breath, concentration and controlled movement remain at the heart of the practice, helping you move with greater awareness and intention.

1-hour semi-private class · Maximum 2 students · €25 per person

WHAT to expect During a Reformer Class?

1

Set Up & Prepare

We begin by introducing the equipment and adjusting it to your body and the exercises ahead. Simple preparatory movements help warm up the body and allow you to become familiar with the moving carriage.

2

Explore Support & Resistance

You will learn how the carriage, footbar, straps and springs work together. Depending on the exercise, the springs may assist your movement or add challenge, helping you build confidence and control.

3

Work the Whole Body

The class moves through a varied sequence of exercises performed lying down, seated, kneeling or standing. Some exercises place greater emphasis on the legs, core, arms or back while keeping the whole body connected and engaged.

4

Move with Precision

The focus is on the quality of each movement rather than speed or repetition. Attention is given to alignment, coordination and control, with guidance and variations offered to help you work at the right level.

5

Breathe & Coordinate

Breath is used throughout the class to support movement, manage effort and improve coordination. It also helps you maintain concentration and move with greater ease and control.

6

Slow Down & Reset

The session finishes with slower movements and gentle stretching, giving the body time to release after the work. You leave feeling more open, balanced and connected.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know

Is Reformer Pilates suitable for beginners?
Yes. The Reformer can provide support while you learn and introduce more challenge as your confidence develops. Your first class includes an introduction to the equipment, with exercises and settings adapted to your experience.
How is Reformer Pilates different from Mat Pilates?
Mat Pilates primarily uses your body weight, while the Reformer uses a moving carriage, springs, straps and a footbar. These elements provide both support and resistance, offer immediate feedback and allow for a wider variety of exercises and positions.
How many people are in each class?
Our Reformer classes are semi-private and limited to a maximum of two students. This allows the teacher to provide individual guidance, make adjustments and offer variations throughout the session. For all class, private session and package rates, visit our Pricing page.
Do you offer private Reformer sessions?
Yes. Private sessions are available for anyone seeking a more personalised practice, individual attention or support with specific goals. Please contact us directly to arrange a session.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable, close-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely and enables the teacher to observe your alignment. Avoid loose clothing, zips or accessories that could catch on the equipment. Grip socks are recommended.
Can I join if I have an injury or physical limitation?
Please tell us about any injury, pain, pregnancy or relevant medical condition before booking. Some exercises can be modified, but group classes are not a substitute for rehabilitation or medical care. For more individual support, contact us to discuss a private session.
Will we use the Tower during class?
Our Reformers include a Tower, which expands the range of exercises available. It may be incorporated depending on the focus of the class and the needs and experience of the participants.
